Pre Order Info.
Thank you for visiting our store, as you browse through our products you might find that some models are categorized, or labeled, as "Pre Order" items.
Many die-cast airplane model manufacturers offer the option to "purchase" their models while they are still being produced. They do this in order to tweak production to better match demand, as a competition strategy, etc.
It is important to be aware that models available for pre order can be on any stage of the production process from concept to distribution, and as such wait times can vary vastly for these items.
Wait times for pre orders can consist of only a few weeks for models that are already on their way to retailers, but the wait can be much longer for models that are on earlier stages of the production process.
While the majority of pre ordered models are delivered to customers between a few weeks to a few months after an order is placed, It is not uncommon for customers to have to wait more than a year for some pre ordered models to be delivered.
The majority of online stores take the payment for a pre order when this one is placed, which means the store will keep the customer's money for an extended period of time before delivering the purchased products.
Many collectors are familiar with the aforementioned practice, and accept it. However, and understandably so, having to wait more than year after having paid for a product to receive it can be frustrating for some.
Our hosting platform does not allow us to take pre orders without receiving the payment when the order is placed. However, in an effort to provide our customers with the ability to pre order items without having to pay upfront, we have developed a set of Pre Order forms that can be used to reserve models without having to pay for them up front. You can find the Pre Order forms for each manufacturer on the menu, under "Pre Orders."
How Do Pre Order Forms Work?
Customers can show their interest in a acquiring a product by filling out the respective pre order form. On our end, we will record the order and plan our inventory acquisition accordingly.
At some point after a pre order form is submitted, usually, but not always, as the arrival of the product (s) approaches, a formal order will be created.
When pre order form submissions are transferred to the regular order tracking system, customers will receive a notification informing them that a new order has been created under their name. However, these are not invoices or payment requests.
A separate email with a Pay Link will be sent once the pre ordered products are in stock and ready to be shipped.
Pay Links offer the customers the option to pay via a variety of payment methods.
Pay Links do not allow customers to input any discount codes. However, all applicable discounts and promotions (including shipping promotions) will be applied to each invoice before being sent to the customers.
Pre Order Form Policy:
Customers are under no obligation to buy any item they pre order, but we ask you to please only pre order items that you truly intend to purchase from us, as having us pre order a product that you end up not purchasing can be detrimental to our business. Because of this, after an individual fails twice to purchase pre ordered items using the pre order form, any future use of the pre order form by the same individual will be ignored.
Pre Order Considerations:
As a way to mitigate any issues that can arise due to excessive wait times for pre orders please consider the following:

Note the estimated time of arrival (ETA) listed for each pre order product. While those times are only estimates, they can give an idea of how long the wait will be. Please feel free to contact us to get updates on ETAs.

You can cancel any order for a 100% full refund at any time before the order is dispatched. So you can pre order with peace of mind, if you change your mind before the model gets here, or get tired of waiting, etc, you can always get your money back from us. Please note that once an order is dispatched it becomes subject to our return policy.

Consider waiting until the model is in stock and ready to be shipped before purchasing it. But keep in mind that popular models can sell out during the pre order phase. Also note that if we do not receive any pre orders for a given model we might not stock it at all.

Avoid pre ordering items for time sensitive occasions. For example, a model listed for pre order in late November is not likely to arrive in time for Christmas. Remember, you can always request an ETA update from us.

As a result of the distribution network structure, and geographical considerations, it is normal for some retailers to start showing pre order models in stock sooner than other retailers. However, we encourage you to contact us if you see an item still listed for pre order on our store after 3-4 weeks since other retailers have started showing the same item in stock.
